Tracks by the Danube

More than 5,000 frames to sift through, edit, process and curate from my recent holiday to Europe. It’s going to be a while before i make sense of things, especially when the expected super-load of catch-up work at the office hit this week.

But some photos just jump out at me as something special. This is one such photo. The convergence, the characters in the shot, including the old man holding on to the rail, the isolation of the tracks, the shadows and highlights in the trees, the washed out graffiti.

Taken with my mother’s beat up and well-travelled Sony DSC-W350, an amazing piece of work for something about the size as a 10-stick pack of cigarettes.
