You never know what you’re going to find in malls. In this case, i found the best piece of musical entertainment i’ve had in months, the very talented Yang I-Deun, a young pianist hailing from South Korea. What made it fun for me was the amount of energy going into the performance — he was playing as though his life depended on it, head and body bobbing every which way, sweat streaming down his bald head, brow curled up in concentration.
It was like watching a man possessed almost. It made for compelling listening and watching. I shook his hand afterwards, and he gave me the brightest smile you can imagine.
